Still so much digging to do, still on catch up, trying to get the plot ready for planting. I managed to get 5 rows of potatoes in. It was hard going because the ground was full of persistent weeds- lesser bindweed, couch grass and horsetail. There is no easy way to get rid of them. I had to sift through the soil to try and get most of the roots out. I find it therapeutic to get in contact with the soil, so long as I don’t overdo it. I try to take regular breaks and alternate tasks. Anyhow, they are in now. I have prepared each trench with chopped up comfrey and well rotted compost.
I am slowly working my way down the plot one way is looking good. The other not. But the good bit is growing.
